The Writing Test is Finished!
Today we took our Seventh grade Writing Test. I can tell you from speaking with the students; they are almost as happy as I am to be done with it! From walking around and discussing it with them, I believe we might have done pretty well. It is not and easy task but we worked hard, practiced smartly, and I think we conquered!
Special Congratulations goes out to Brittney B. and Jeff C. for making the All County Band. Brittney is Wayne County’s 8th seat clarinet and Jeff is our 1st seat Baritone. Way to go to these two outstanding All-Stars!
The All-Stars were also well represented on the Saturday League Championship squad. Isaac R., Kaisheem B., and Josh W. were all members of the Fremont Bulldogs basketball team and they won the Championship Monday night. Congratulations gentlemen, had work pays off all around.
Jessica P. and Ashley M. made the first ever Girls Soccer Team and Coach Lipcsak has some great things to say about these two ladies. These two All Stars are working to bring Girls Soccer to Norwayne and to Wayne County as a middle school sport.
In Social Studies we have spent a little time comparing the Egyptian idea of the afterlife and our own. It has been pretty interesting looking at the similarities between a society 5,000 years old and our own. We watched a short 5-minute video clip about mummification and demonstrated on Kaisheem (well everything except for the pulling the brains out part). We are going to be Mummifying Barbie and making an African Map Chocolate Chip Cookie here pretty soon. Be on the look out for those pictures.

I think that the Writing Test was easy. I did not have any problems. It was like I have done it a thousand times.

The Writing Test was the king of fun. We had 75 minutes to finish. The prompt was about how to improve our school.

I am so glad the writing test is over! Now i just have to get over the 10th grade writing test haha! Oh yeah soccer practice was feezing today in the snow! My ears were frozen.

The writing test was very confusing I was not very sure about what I made I hope that I did a great job.

The writing test was wonderful because all the students think they did well so I believe we did. But I am pretty sure that everyone was ready for it to be over because it seemed like it was long but it really was not.

The writing test was a little hard at first because we just started. After awhile it was pretty easy. I chose to write about getting a new gym which I think pertains to the new equipment suggestion. That was a fun day.

I am so glad that the writing test is over! We have worked so hard getting perpared for it! I had about 30 sheets of paper full of notes.

Thank goodness it is over now we do not have to do all that writing stuff again until next year. The writing test was easy after all the planning I did.

I am gald we got the writing test over with but I hated the prompt. It was a hard one about making the school better.

I wish we did not have to take the writeing test. But it was really easy. I wrote about the gym equipment.

The Writing Test is over, so now we can focus on the better parts of school. I am so glad! I am really nervous about what I am going to get though.

Good job Jessica and Ashley for making the team. I wish I would had tried out but I couldn't.
The 5 minute video was really nasty but very educational and hopefuly it will be very useful for the test.
I think the writing test was easy and now all we have to do is get ready for the EOGs.
