Big Newspaper
We have been working on our Big Newspaper today. We learned how to use the scanners and how to harvest our cover art from our favorite books from websites like Books-A-Million, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.com. We also discussed changing the main pictures we are going to use on our newspapers since so many of the kids have changed so much since the beginning of the school year. We all had a lot of laughs looking at those earlier pictures.
In Social Studies we began reading Beshet the Burial Priest. It is a short play that really focuses on the burial rituals and practices of the ancient Egyptians. It has extremely difficult vocabulary and a tremendous number of items to discuss so it will take us several days, but it is an extremely good play and the kids always enjoy it.
The nine weeks ends next week. Make sure you discuss with your students the need to make sure their missing tasks are caught up and they have earned all of their AR points. We all have a big part in making sure the kids reach an acceptable level of success.

The big newspaper has been a fun activity since the writing test is over. I personally enjoy it very much.

This news paper thing is really weird to me. I really don't know what it is going to be. But it is really fun geting it together.

I realy like using the scanners and computers. I can not wait to see the new presenter that you are getting with the grant you got. I like the ACC Bulletin Board that was made.

The big newspaper that we are doing is really fun because I get to tell you more about myself than you already know.
The ACC TOURNAMENT paper that we are doing will be really fun because we all know that NC STATE will win the whole thing because of Engin Atsur, Julius Hodge, and Illian Evtimov.

I am so ready for the nine weeks to be over even though I have not gotten all of my AR pionts. The AR is a big part of your nine weeks average so I better go ahead and get all of them. I know I did really well on my report card!!

The big newspaper is cool because it is actually made like a newspaper. I like the projects that we do in Mr.Person's class because they aren't the boring projects that I used to do in my former classes.

I hope our class will get a higher class average on the vocabulary. I also hope I will make a good grade. I think the big newspaper is cool. I can not wait till we finish it. I would like to see mine when it is done.

I hope Duke goes all the way in the ACC Tournament because I have been a Duke fan all my life but if Duke doesn't win I will pull for Carolina.

I'm all done with the big newspaper. I did everything and my hero was chose to be Virginia Langley she is my grandma. I have one more grandma she is my mom's dad's mom.
